Karma REIKI

Healing Karma with Reiki

"Karma" is a Sanskrit word that in its simplest form means "deed". In Hindu philosophy, karma refers specifically to the actions of the ego and their consequences. At the absolute level, all actions performed by the ego affect the universe, temporarily causing imbalance. The law of karma states that, in order to maintain balance, the universe directs the consequences of one's actions to eventually return to oneself.

All actions of the ego carry with them a "tracer karma", which exists both in the action and its consequences, but also in the ego that created the action. This tracker acts like a title document and is the reason the deed returns to its originator. More important than the act itself is the intention of the person who created it, as it determines the kind of karma that is created. A healthy, positive intention leads to positive consequences when karma returns; the reverse is also true.

Often, the time it takes for karma to return exceeds a human lifetime. In these cases, the person does not know that he is the creator of karma. Thus, it appears that random events – pleasant or unpleasant – happen to him, when in reality they are the return of his own actions. Karma is the basis of one's destiny, the seemingly inevitable sequence of events in life.

If we do not understand that unpleasant events are the result of our own actions, we may blame others and seek revenge, creating additional karma that binds us more tightly to the cycle of actions and their consequences. This is called "the wheel of karma".

Karma Reiki gives us the tools to break free from the wheel of Karma.
